Though the establishment of a separate Vicariate we offer Contemplative Vocation to anyone feeling called to monastic tradition: the First Order for celibate men; the Second Order for celibate women; and the Third Order for men and women living outside monastery boundaries but wish to live a contemplative life while going about their day to day lives.
Third Order monastics (Oblate / Tertiary) typically do not live in community and may be married. All monastics wear the same habit according to the custom and style of their respective tradition (such as Carmelite, Benedictine, Franciscan, etc.). All monastics are held to pray the Divine Office (Breviary) or the Liturgical Hours (according to their tradition).
